Most Dangerous Cars.

The most dangerous cars that teens can be driving these days is either a big SUV or a very fast small car.

SUVs are nice. They're big; you can go through just about anything. The down fall, people feel too safe in them. SUVs are very big bulky, and very easy to roll. The reason that they are easy to roll over is because their center of gravity is very high. Compared to a passenger car they ride a lot higher off the ground with the same wheel base, which makes the car more likely to tip over. 33% of highway deaths have been a result of a SUV roll over. The easiest SUV to roll over is the Jeep Wrangler. they're very tall with a very short wheel base. Wheel base is how far apart the front wheel is form the back wheel and how far apart the left wheels are form the right wheels.

Fast little cars with a lot of horse power are also dangerous cars for teens to be driving. Any Car that you buy you should always make sure that you can handle what it has under the hood. If the car you buy happens to be very fast and powerful make sure you do not abuse that power for illegal street racing. New England Drag way in Epping New Hampshire not to far from here only about a half an hour has street nights Wednesdays and Friday nights where you can race your car down the quarter mile legally.

  1. I owned a Jeep Wrangler once, and turning was a breeze, but if you did it a little too fast it did feel like you might flip. Interesting post.

  2. That's one advantage of having a short wheel-base, they'll turn on a dime.
