Best Resale Cars.

The number one best resale car is the Chevrolet Corvette. Base price range: $47,245 - $55,585. After 5 years of driving it has retained its value up to 50%.

#2 Honda Civic Sedan
Base price range: $15,645 - $21,925
5-year retained value: 52 %

#3 Infiniti G37
Base price range: $34,965 - $36,265
5-year retained value: 52 %

#4 Mini Cooper
Base price range: $18,700 - $26,050
5-year retained value: 52 %

#5 Scion tC
Base price range: $15,920 - $18,420
5-year retained value: 52 %

Even though you might not have the money to buy any of these cars new, you now know what to look for in a used auto trader. Around here the best magazine to look at for used cars is the Auto Hunter; the best website to look at is Craigslist.org

It's funny the Mini Copper after 5 years retains its value up to 52% for resale, yet Mini is on the 10 least dependable manufactors.
Each and every car is a little bit different. Each car is going to have its own problems. Two of the same car, same year, same model, will have different problems. It's all in how the car is treated and driven and also, the metal cars use are always different; some have imperfections, some don't, so every car is going to have its own problems.

Most Dangerous Cars.

The most dangerous cars that teens can be driving these days is either a big SUV or a very fast small car.

SUVs are nice. They're big; you can go through just about anything. The down fall, people feel too safe in them. SUVs are very big bulky, and very easy to roll. The reason that they are easy to roll over is because their center of gravity is very high. Compared to a passenger car they ride a lot higher off the ground with the same wheel base, which makes the car more likely to tip over. 33% of highway deaths have been a result of a SUV roll over. The easiest SUV to roll over is the Jeep Wrangler. they're very tall with a very short wheel base. Wheel base is how far apart the front wheel is form the back wheel and how far apart the left wheels are form the right wheels.

Fast little cars with a lot of horse power are also dangerous cars for teens to be driving. Any Car that you buy you should always make sure that you can handle what it has under the hood. If the car you buy happens to be very fast and powerful make sure you do not abuse that power for illegal street racing. New England Drag way in Epping New Hampshire not to far from here only about a half an hour has street nights Wednesdays and Friday nights where you can race your car down the quarter mile legally.

New and Used Cars

My first post I'll talk about some new and used cars and give some advice on trade-ins.

New cars are nice they're new no one else but u has driving it and best of all you get that new car smell. Well just how much more are you paying for that new car smell? Answer: allot more then you should have to. If you go to a new car dealership there are always pre owned cars with low miles that cost a lot less then a new car. Hey, who doesn't like saving money?
Lets talk a little bit about hybrids. First off there ugly as hell. There small and compact a little to much, and I don't even think that they have a 4 star crash rating. The New Volkswagen Clean Diesel gets more miles per gallon then the hybrid and its easier maintenance and you never have to replace a battery. Also the good thing is, they came out I believe last year so, you can find them used.
Trade-ins. Buying a new car is funny thing. each MSRP of a new car is about 10-20% more then what a dealer buys the car for. Trade ins is what dealers love. If you walk into a dealership and tell him/her that you have a trade hes not going to go his/her bottom dollar because they want you to fell that you getting the deal, well in fact your getting shafted, while the salesman is making more money.

That's all for now catch me next week with best used cars for teens.
